PARENTING SESSIONS

Do you have a pre-school – elementary school child who has different needs than his/her peers?  If so, this newly forming group might be for you.  Does your child have DIFFERENT NEEDS that sometimes present challenges at home, school, or other activities?  Many children with formal diagnoses of physical, developmental, or psychological issues are classified as having Special Needs; all children have needs, some may be Special, but many children just have needs that differ from typical children.  These sessions are designed to support parents and teach them cognitive behavioral skills to cope with these different needs.  Please contact Alison Segal, Ph.D. at 914-514-9150 to find out more.  Below you will see some examples  of common disorders and problems that affect children’s needs and have a significant impact on parenting:
